Meetings of CUSU Council
CUSU Council is CUSU's decision-making and policy-setting body. It comprises the JCR and MCR Presidents and External Officers of all affiliated College student unions, representatives from each Faculty, the CUSU Executive (minus Sabbaticals, but including the Women's Officer) and various representatives of autonomous campaigns. Any student may attend CUSU Council, propose motions and amendments.
CUSU Council is the governing body of CUSU, though certain campaigns are self-governing. It may be over-ruled only if its policy is found to be illegal, or by a referendum of all members of CUSU. If you have queries about this, please see the page regarding legality.
Any student may attend CUSU Council, propose motions and amendments, but only Council members may vote.
An Extraordinary Council is called if asked for by 16 full voting members of Council or a resolution of the Executive. This meeting must be held within 3 days of being called.
