Orchestra on the Hill [OOTH]

The combined orchestra of Churchill, Fitzwilliam, Girton, Lucy Cavendish, Magdalene, Murray Edwards, Robinson, and St Edmunds colleges.

Conducted and run by students, Orchestra on the Hill is a friendly orchestra which puts on two concerts in Michaelmas term, one in Lent and sometimes May Week concerts. We try to put on as unusual, diverse and accessible range of works as possible, and have recently performed Bartók's 'Hungarian Pictures', Bernstein's Chichester Psalms, the British Première of Graham Waterhouse's Cello Concerto, Beethoven's 2nd Piano Concerto and Brahms' 2nd Serenane. All players of grade 8+ (or equivalent) are welcome to join.
