Cambridge Student Liberal Democrats [CSLD]

Cambridge's largest political group, the Liberal Democrats run Cambridge City Council and Cambridge's MP is Julian Huppert. We are committed to defending human rights and civil liberties, promoting free education, green energy, fair treatment of asylum seekers, equal rights for gay, ethnic minority and disabled citizens, leading the fight against ID cards, and cutting taxes on the lowest earners while massively hiking up environmental taxes to encourage 'green' behaviour.
CSLD exist to build understanding of the Liberal Democrats and Liberalism in Cambridge through high-profile speaker events (past visitors include Nick Clegg, Menzies Campbell, Charles Kennedy, Shirley Williams, David Steel, Simon Hughes and Vincent Cable), frequent social events, and ongoing campaigns. Membership is just £5 for life. If you consider yourself a radical, a progressive, or a liberal, joining CSLD is a must!
