The Senior Tutors' Committee, established in its present form in 1992, is the successor of the Tutorial Representatives Committee. It is made up of the Senior Tutor (or Dean, in the case of Darwin College) of all 31 Cambridge Colleges, together with the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Education), the Secretary of the Bursars' Committee, the Secretary of the Graduate Tutors' Committee and the Secretary of the Board of Examinations, ex officiis. The Chair is the Vice-Chancellor.

The Committee meets twice a term, and once in the long vacation, and is concerned with educational policy, welfare issues and student numbers, these issues being dealt with by Standing Committees.
