Democracy
CUSU is run by students, for students. Our democracy is wholly representative of Cambridge, drawing from the JCR, MCR and academic representatives you elect in your Colleges and Faculties, and cross-campus elections where every student gets a vote.

CUSU CouncilCouncil is the representative body which sets CUSU's policies and direction, holds the Executive to account, and governs the work that we do. |

Open MeetingsOpen Meetings normally happen once a term, and every student gets a vote in these open and democratic spaces. If you want to send Council a resolution or policy through people power, this is the way to do it! |

PolicyThe CUSU Executive acts on the Policy which is laid down by Council and by student referendums. This details what we campaign on, what the objectives are, and who is responsible for seeing it through. CUSU Council holds us to account for achieving policy. Read all the active policies in this section. |

ConstitutionCUSU is governed by its Constitution and Standing Orders. Council has the power to change Standing Orders, while the Constitution itself can only be altered through a cross-camps referendum. Each Autonomous Campaign also has its own Constitution. |

Budgets and AccountsCUSU's annual Budget is approved each Easter by Council, and as a registered charity CUSU must also publish its audited accounts. Find the current budget and archives of past budgets and accounts here. |
