The Round (CU English Country Dancing Club)

The Round is Cambridge University's English Country Dance Society. The Round originally danced mainly Playford dances (think Jane Austen but less seriously) but now dances a mix of Playford dances, ceilidh dances, American style contras and anything else the callers fancy. We also organize ceilidhs to a live band. Then there's the Playford Ball and its associated Punt Party. Visitors and those with no university affiliation are very welcome to come along. No experience is necessary (all dances are walked through and explained), and no partner is required.
