Cambridge University Roots & Shoots Society [CUR&S]

CUR&S falls under the Roots & Shoots program set up by the Jane Goodall Institute (JGI). Our aims are to implement positive change through active learning about, caring for and interacting with the environment as well as to demonstrate care and concern for all animals and to enhance understanding between individuals of different nations, cultures ethnic groups, religions, and socio-economic backgrounds through a global communication network by helping people develop self-respect, confidence in themselves and hope for the future. This will be done through a series of lectures and fundraising events as well as community service in and around the Cambridge district throughout the year.
