Cambridge University Lawyers Without Borders [LWOB]

"The Cambridge Lawyers Without Borders Society seeks to promote human rights from a legal point of view. It promotes the work of its parent organization, Lawyers Without Borders(LWOB), an international human rights NGO that works through networks of pro bono lawyers, non-profit organisations and law students on various world-wide projects to promote and enforce global human rights, advance the rule of law and protect the integrity of the legal process without regard to geographical or political borders.

Through the society you can attend talks by leading individuals in human rights and become involved directly with case work on behalf of Reprieve, the Texas Defender Service and a series of anti-trafficking organisations. We also take a team of students to Panama and the DR Congo each year to work on rule-of-law development programmes”.
