Cambridge University Himalayan and English Language Scholarships for Tibetans [CU-HELST]

CU-HELST is a society which aims to increase awareness of Himalayan communities and associated issues via talks, film showings and exhibitions. In addition it aims to act as a volunteer network/information provider for those interested in travel in the Himalayan regions. The society also has links with ELST, a charity which recruits students to be teachers in English language workshops for Tibetan refugees, held bienially in India. Thus involvement with CU-HELST may lead to the chance to be a team member on such a workshop.
