Cambridge University Gliding Club [CUGC]

Gliding is flight in its purest form, soaring upward on unseen currents of air and racing for hundreds of miles across the countryside. CUGC offers students an affordable way to experience the thrill of sailing in the sky. Most members start with no flying experience, but are flying solo within a year. You will train with fully qualified instructors in two-seat gliders and then progress to sleek single-seat aircraft. CUGC members compete in competitions, including a Varsity Match against Oxford, and organise trips to other gliding clubs in the Yorkshire Moors, the Lake District, and the mountains of Wales and Scotland.
