Downing Dramatic Society [DDS]

We are the student-run amateur dramatic society for Downing College. After a few quiet years, the Downing Drama Society has been revitalised by the brand new £8 million state-of-the-art Howard Theatre. The inaugural show in the theatre took place in February 2010 with a production of "The Relapse" by John Vanbrugh. Check out the review here:

In March 2010, we had an Official Opening by renowned and acclaimed theatre directed Sir Trevor Nunn.

In October 2010, the Howard Theatre will host the Home Run of the Pembroke Players' Japan Tour Production of "Much Ado About Nothing".

In November 2010, the DDS will present the hilarious farce "Donkeys' Years" by Michael Frayn, Auditions will take place in the first and second weeks of October. Everyone is most welcome to audition regardless of age or previous experience.
