Cambridge University Air Squadron [CUAS]

Since its foundation, CUAS has flown numerous types of training aircraft and now operates the Royal Air Forces new Grob 115e Tutor aircraft. The Tutor is a fully aerobatic, twin-seat light training aircraft. In it, as part of the flying training syllabus, the students learn to take-off and land, fly aerobatics, fly in cloud, fly at low-level and in formation, as well as being taught how to handle the aircraft properly in both normal flight and emergency situations. Qualified Flying Instructors from the RAF, who have between them many years of flying expertise, carry out all the tuition. This takes ninety hours in the air over a full three-year course, which is backed up with comprehensive ground training. Benefits: Lots of free flying lessons, the chance to participate in skiing, diving, trekking and other expeditions worldwide, a hectic social calendar and much, much more.
