Cambridge University Ki-Aikido Society [CUKAS]
Aikido literally means the way to union with the Ki of the Universe.
Through the study of Ki-Aikido we learn to coordinate mind and body, to work with others positively, and realize our full potential.
We learn to lead our opponents rather than colliding or fighting with them, and apply these same principles directly to dealing productively with people in daily life.
Five principles of Shin Shin Toitsu Aikido (aikido with mind and body coordinated).
Extend Ki
Know your opponent's mind
Respect your opponent's Ki
Put yourself in the place of your opponent
Perform with confidence
We concentrate on Ki development. This practice consists of four components: Breathing, Meditation, Exercises, Testing.
Ki development classes teach us how to coordinate mind and body in daily life. Ki training provides skills for relaxation, calmness, concentration, personal health, and living a positive life. Through Ki training students gain more energy and enhance their understanding of Ki Principles.
