An open meeting focused on our new Degrading is Degrading Campaign, other concerns can be discussed as needed and accessible snacks will be provided, come along and lets get organised and angry about the how degrading the degrading process is (more on the campaign below). We've got some plans but this is really go chance to bring your ideas, your concerns or to get involved.

Sidney Sussex's main gate is opposite Sainsburys, but has steps, from the plodge turn right and the left into the court, then through the arch that's in the wall you'll reach, a little to the right, the Mong Hall is on your right in the covered area. For wheelchair users we will be asking porters to leave the Sidney Street black gate to the right of the plodge open, go through the car park and bear left until you get to the court with the plodge leading off it and then go right, the Mong Hall will be on your right. If you want to come in from King Street or the Sidney Street gate is closed you can phone the porters on 338800. Apologies.

14th - 20th November

Cambridge University Stands Up is a week of events and activities to celebrate and explore diversity in the Cambridge community and beyond.

Every year, CUSU organises a week of events, training and campaigns called Cambridge University Stands Up. The LBGT Campaign, Black Students' Campaign, Disabled Students' Liberation Campaign, Women's Campaign and iCUSU all join up with CUSU to celebrate the value of equality and diversity in the student community and beyond and stand up against discrimination, stigma, prejudice and bigotry.

This year, we have two campaign focuses in CU Stands Up Week: launching the Cambridge Equalities Survey, to find out the problems, challenges and successes that face the diverse student community and Cambridge and how we can proactively move towards equality for all in our community; secondly, we want to explore and oppose the way in which the cuts to the higher education budget and increase in tuition fees will affect our efforts to promote equality and diversity throughout the University.

This week will be an opportunity for us all to learn more about the diversity and equality issues that face Cambridge students; and an opportunity to campaign on to change this University. We will only succeed in making the Cambridge experience and equal experience for all with YOUR efforts.

However you'd like to be involved, get in touch by emailing studentsupport@cusu.ac.uk or womens@cusu.ac.uk.
