CUSU Cambridge Explained Days
What's it all about? The university runs numerous open days throughout the year. CUSU also runs a series of open days that use students to a greater degree, with talks about student experience, tours of Cambridge by students, and individual student subject talks.
The open days are aimed for prospective students who aren't sure whether Cambridge is the place for them. Students who missed out on a place on the Shadowing Scheme are also invited to come on the CUSU Cambridge Explained days. They are a great success, and the feedback is always positive.
When are they? The dates for the 2012 CUSU Cambridge Explained Days will be announced in October 2011.
How can I get involved? We need about 10 volunteers for each of the three open days. It's important that we have undergraduates from a variety of subjects, so that all questions posed by prospective students can be properly answered. There'll be a range of things you could do: giving tours, answering questions, small-group work, a mock interview!
Whether you want to help all day, or just have an hour to spare, there'll be plenty for you to do. For more information, or to volunteer, email the CUSU Access Officer.
